Gesta Hus is translated Guest House from Icelandic and means Bed and Breakfast. Our Gesta Hus has the charm and style direct from Iceland but gives you all of the North American conveniences. We have been operating the B&B for twenty-one years now. Over the years we have accommodated many first time B&B users and visitors from all over the world. We are located in a provincial park and like to encourage more than an overnight stay so that our guests can enjoy all the activities on the island. The house has two flours of mainly guest area. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom on the top floor, each of the bedrooms has a sink and hairdryer in-room and there is a second bathroom at the bottom of the stairs on the main floor. The fourth bedroom is on the main floor and has an ensuite bathroom. Also on the main floor you will find the living room, dining room, kitchen, and wellness/spa room. In the living room you will find a TV, CD's, books and many movies. Our private living quarters are in the basement. On the front of the house the veranda overlooks Lake Winnipeg. At the rear of the house there is an porch and a deck with a barbeque and a lower deck with an eight person hot tub and a twelve foot octagonal screen in gazebo. Our guest house: Check-in: anytime after noon. Check out: Any time before noon. Due to the fact there are many unadvertised park actives and that we have park maps and information you can check with us as soon as you arrive on the Island. You also can take advantage of the washrooms and our equipment once you have arrived. Cancellation policy: 48 hours (off-season: same day if weather related, please phone) The whole house is available for groups or family: Please phone or e-mail. Meals: We serve a full, hot breakfast, which is included in your stay.
